Photons' Role in Global Warming
PRICE GROUP WEBINAR
Webinar Title: Photons' Role in Global Warming
Webinar No: R01-202W
PDH Credit: 1
Presenter: Rodney Aldrich, P.E.
Time: From 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ET
This online engineering PDH live webinar will present information on photons and their role in global warming as they interact with carbon dioxide.
The smallest bits of matter are atoms, which are made of a particular number of protons and neutrons in what is called a nucleus. The nucleus is surrounded by subatomic particles called electrons. Photons are the smallest but (quanta) of radiative energy such as light or radio waves, and will be the crux of the webinar. The role of photons and electrons in photovoltaic solar panels will also be presented.
This 1 PDH webinar is intended primarily for engineers are interested in learning about photons and their role in global warming and in avoiding global warming
This PE continuing education course is intended to provide you with the following specific knowledge and skills:
- Learning about photons and how/where they are generated
- Understanding how photons interact with atoms and molecules
- Learning about how the energy of photons accumulate and affect the earth and its climate
- Learning about how photons induce electric current in solar panels
- Understanding how electric current induced by photons can be modified and introduced into the electric grid
